This is a very very abstract sort of a concern. Here in the physical world, Peace is the best possible thing for arab Israelis. Jewish State with non-Jewish minority isn't such a weird thing. Ethnic minorities exist everywhere and many face the same issues, philosophical & practical. This includes most of our neighboring countries. Kurds & Armenians in Turkey. Copts in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Syriacs, Chaldeans, Druze, Armenians Circasians etc in the Syrian Arab Republic. Turkmens, Kurds & Arabs in Iran. These minorities are explicitly outside of those countries' definitions of their own national identity just like Israeli arabs. Then there are countries with minorities that are part of the official nationality. Saudi Shiites, for example. Saudi Shiites are probably worse off than Egyptian Copts (last 2 years notwithstanding) even though they are still Arab becuase Saudi Arabia is much more religious and because they are associated with Iran, a quasi enemy. If Saudi secuarized & warmed up relations with Iran, the would be much better off. Peace between Arabs and Israelis will relieve most of the strain, if successful. Jews will be less scared & defensive. Israeli Arabs will feel less guilty about participating.

from the article: Negotiate, but don't forget us Israeli Arabs
