I must admit I was very much a fervent admirer of Igaal Alon, though the Article brings up some of his unbecoming features for a Leader, I still think that Israel has missed a potential great Statesman. However, this same Article has enforced in me some of the feelings (intelligent and intuitive) of distate for some other past -unfortunately, some present- players in the Israeli political and military scenes. Let it be. Allon did not mean to leave a very distorted impression of the era and its protagonists, but he came close to paint a somehow realistic picture of it. I wish someone will bring his life and writings in a definite book, in light of the long interview which we are privy to.
