This is my first posting here today, the previous ones were made by Gabe1/the Identity Thief. The US is trying to impose its view of the fictional worldwide "war on terror", on Israel. For this view, enemies are required. The only actual war took place in afghanistan and resulted in the almost total annihilation of al-Qaida. The invasion of Iraq gave new life to the war. But what do Hamas and Hizballah have to do with international terrorism? They are essentially local, and unrelated, phenomena. The US should get off its worldwide terror principles. They cause unnecessary damage here. For example, it is importanat to stop the chaos in Gaza. Will it stop if Hamas is only allowed to be a "loyal opposition" and not participate in the government? I doubt it. It may be wise to bring Hamas into the government, and let them moderate as a result. P.S. Hizballah has 2 ministers in the Lebanese government. The US deals with that government, but boycots the two ministers. Let it do the same now.
