US support for the Israeli regime is not really based on the American Jewish community, but on the myth that being in power is a sign of God - Comment - Israel News | Haaretz Daily Newspaper

Approval. The idea that the US is blessed by God makes the notion that it should be unashamed of using force to smash everything in its way, and demand others not just acquiesce to its demands but see them as just and right popular and the public eager to support those who take such an approach. But increasingly, the American public is becoming aware that a large amount of why one group is (temporarily) the mighty and another their defeated lesser's is luck and a matter of coincides of cycles. As that takes hold, and the notion that if you want those in power in the future to treat those in the future who are their 'defeated lessers' as those with valid concerns and rights, you need to do so while you are the ones on top becomes common, the American Jewish community is going to find itself in a place where not making it clear that despite the effort of the Israeli regime to conflate Jewishness and itself that could not be further from the truth, and that the community (and other right thinking Jews) opposes vigorously what the regime is doing and strongly supports efforts to stop it. The question will be, have they left it too late and the 'conversion' seems like that of a just sentenced criminal trying to game his way to a lesser sentence.

For French teen studying in Israel, it's all about being a Jew among Jews

Arrivals / Departures: Anti-Semitism in France is certainly not the reason why this teen chose to come to Israel; an Israeli whose relatives perished in the Holocaust finds living in Berlin 'perfectly fine.'
