New Jerusalem and Babylon? Considering how fragile things are and how close we all are to World War III (maybe Earth's last war), it's a matter of whether the old Jersualem and Babylon will be around to build new ones on. Israel's leaders have for years taken many grave missteps, as have their supporters in America. How many Jews in the United States are now really willing to see Israel even deeper in the crosshairs of their enemies in the Middle East? Once the big conflagration starts there, all the swastika/graffiti-daubed synagogues in the USA will matter little. And after the first stage of that nightmare scenario ends, will Jews worldwide blame the eternal "anti-Semites" everywhere for their woes, or summon their courage to think about their own intransigence? Time will tell -- and so will the attitudes of Israelis and the Diaspora
