Jerusalem is Israeli territory and not claimed by any other SOVEREIGN state, therefore it is not under the jurisdiction of international law that exists between states.period. "illegitimate" is a fluff diplomatic term and does not exist in international law. It is a moral judgement, and quite frankly, 3000 years of continuous Jewish presence in Jerusalem, as well as the Land of Israel as a whole, is unquestionably legitimate! On another note, is illegal Spanish and French settlemts in Basque lands, Corsica, or British settlement in North Ireland legitimate? What about Han Chinese settlement in Tibet or Turkestan? What about Pakistani settlement in occupied Punjab? Why single out Israel?!!
