    If the US were to cease giving Israel $3 billion a year for military expenditures,, it would force Netanyahu's government to make some hard choices - either cut back on subsidizing settlements or cut back on socioeconomic expenditures. Either way, the coalition might collapsed. I thinkit's a good idea. It's high time we Israelis were forced to fend for ourselves economically. But I would strongly oppose cessation of armaments sales to Israel. That would throw tens of thousands of American workers out of their jobs.
