    Dear Mr. Foxman, A few questions: 1. Aren't you aware of the fact that the U.S. government has never recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel? 2. Aren't you aware that much of the current metropolitan area of Jerusalem is not recognized as part of the State of Israel world-wide? 3. Why should the U.S. govt. recognize Israel's de facto annexation of all Jerusalem when the U.S. participated in a UN military action against the govt. of Iraq following that states de facto occupation of Kuwait in 1990 - 1991? Do you really imagine that the U. S. govt. should or would unilaterally recognize the current metropolitan district of Jerusalem as a part of the State of Israel? In a period of growing antisemitism in the U.S. and the world, you request that the US should grant special treatment to the Jewish state?
