Speaking now as the father of two US Soldiers, I can say that the US Army does NOT approbe of using human shields. It viloates the Genevea Convention, which is written into US law as the Universal Code of Military Justice. (UMCJ) Soldiers violate the code, but that's a point: they violate their training, their orders, and they will often be punished for it. By the way, as the father of Soldiers from III Corps, I doubt that either 4ID or 1CAV think the IDF are better soldiers. Troops are proud, and the US military, including the Marine Corps ("sea-going bellhops" is US Army teasing), is very effective.
