Since 1948, Israel has had $115 Billion from the US, and $30 Billion over the last ten years. all without interest. Only 26% was for military purchases from the US, the rest was from its own arms contractors. Israel also retains nearly $1billion of US military equipment for emergency use in legitimate military defence when it feels like it, but still uses it regularly in teh form of teargas, militarised bulldozers to quell protests, in violation of international law.US cluster bombes have been used illegally in recent wars in Lebanon and Gaza, killing hundreds of civilians, and yet Israel has never been sanctioned or even admonished by the US. What hope is there for a peaceful and just solution for any sort of state, when Israel behaves with impunity, and continues with its settlement expansion on stolen land as if there is no tomorrow. There will be nothing left for a viable Palestinian state. All that Israel seems to want is state of permanent conflict, as evidenced by its actions so far, to make a complete nonsense of any negotiations.
