"I think if you’re going to draw such cartoons, you have to be aware of the cultural resonances, and precisely who you’re giving offense to.” It wasn't long ago that many of the same commentators were criticising all of Islam for taking offense at the asinine YouTube movie denigrating the Muslim prophet. Why must we be especially atuned to Jewish culture? At least this cartoon has the ring of truth. If Jewish people don't like what's depicted, they need to speak out against the nation that's committing vile acts of displacement, dispossession, and oppression in their name. Suppressing the cartoon won't help.
