To uproot Jews in Palestine when NOT UNDER DURESS is outrageous. A famous Christian Zionist in the end of the 19 century said that all the experts of international law he consulted told him that Jews owned Palestine, precisely because since the Roman exile they never ceased to claim their ownership. Official Israel is not only keeping silence about the Jewish ownership of Palestine but is performing the actual physical deed of uprooting Jews by a Jewish government. A first in 2000 years! According to international law and the law of trust we are not allowed to gift land in Western Palestine on behalf of future generations (http://www.think-israel.org/shifftan.uprooting.html) . If one adds to this that according to international law, Jewish national rights in Western Palestine are equal on both sides of the green line, as e.g. Prof Eugene Rostow kept stressing, one can see that uprooting Jews in Palestine is jeopardizing our legal right anywhere in Palestine. The enormity of the crime of uprooting Jews not under duress is also seen if we recall that in the the preamble of the Mandate for Palestine we have: "Whereas recognition has thereby been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country". It follows that uprooting in the HISTORICAL place of Hebron is inflicting more damage than uprooting Jews in Holon or Kafr Saba! The formidable Elyakim Haaetzni has elaborated on the theme that for the first time in 2000 years Jews are officially giving up on Palestine, and are themselves uprooting Jews, NOT UNDER DURESS (http://www.think-israel.org/haetzni.shocksurrender.html)!
