Exactly what you say has happened to many African American's in the US. These people were forced to leave their homeland and their families and live in a land they had never heard of. Over the years their was some sort of assimilation and even though they were granted Freedom it never really existed. But what is different for these people and their history is Martin Luther King. A man who was more courageous than any of the people today waging Jihad. Martin Luther King was fighting the establishment. Not only did he change the lives of his people( fellow Americans) but he garnered the respect of a whole nation. This he did with no weapons and with no hatred. He could have wallowed in his situation or complained about a country that didn't care about its people. But he didn't he changed the world. The Mideast needs more people willing to work for change and change the ideology of their people.
