the linkeage of iran's terror regime and its nuclear weapons program with the israel-palestinian conflict is a serious strategic blunder. first, on the face of it, the two issues have nothing in common. second, this linkeage only hardens the positions of both iran and the palestinians. they feed from each others' rejectionist positions and "resistance." third, such linkeage puts all the onus on israel for solving long standing problems which israel cannot by any means solve on her own. to call the israel-palestinian conflict "minor," is utterly misguided. one then needs to ask why president perez was unable to solve this "minor" conflict when he was prime minister. indeed, the conflict has been intractable for over six decades.
