In 1973, I was working at Warner Brothers Records in LA. That was the year Bob Dylan left Columbia for WB and the art dept made a poster of Dylan they put on everyone's desk. I was working in the mail room then, went into the president's office and wrote on his poster, "Dear Joel, Turn, Turn, Turn! Your friend, Bob Dylan." He walked in later that day, figured he had missed a visit by the great man, and had it framed and put on his wall. I said nothing. Only later did I remember Dylan didn't even write the song, but by then, he had left the label and the boss had the picture thrown out anyway. If you believe Freud went shopping one day and came home with a Hitler original, I have some mortgage-backed securities you're going to love.
