We first have to acknowledge that Netanyahu made an important move towards peace, he gave his Bar-Ilan speech (June 2009) where he accepted the 2-state solution. It was contrary to the Likud ideology and his father's belief in Greater Israel. This means that Netanyahu does understand that Greater Israel is an unattainable dream. The reaction to the speech from the Right taught Netanyahu that this view is not shared by many on the Right. As a coward who sees political survival as his top priority, Netanyahu did not act on his speech; he did not even bring it for discussion before the cabinet so that it would become state policy (enabling Lieberman to present a different vision at the UN). Netanyahu is so fearful that he was not able to agree to a 3 months extension of the construction freeze, a trivial act in view of the rich inducements Obama offered, and all because of Shas who could have been pressured to agree to it. Netanyahu acts according to the balance of pressure on him. On the one hand is the US, where Obama is so kind that he doesn't threaten and doesn't punish, while on the other hand is the extreme Right which can topple Netanyahu. Result: In actions Yahoo follows the extremists. The 1967 borders, even with a huge 1:1 swap, are absolutely impossible for the extremists to accept, for then what good did the settlement enterprise bring? No net land means it was all for naught. Effectively, Netanyahu is an obstructionist, of course. Israelis must remove this coward from office. Even the Right is contemptuous of this coward.
