@Reuben - I remember a few years ago waiting for my wife to clear immigration in Heathrow, London. I'm a UK citizen but at that time my wife wasn't. She was subjected to lengthy questioning delivered by a sneering UK immigration officer. Unpleasant and unnecessary and she felt angry and humiliated at the the time. However, we moved on and didn't let it spoil our whole lives. S**t happens but we didn't get on any moral high horses about it or complain that the UK was a horrible place full of horrible people.
