talks have been held with iran for years by those very same world powers without results. those talks have only allowed iran to continue with its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs. at this point, iran has enough leu as feed for one nuclear bomb. iran also has been able to install more advanced centrifuges. iran also has been able to build indigenous solid fuel missiles. since the six world powers cannot even agree among themselves on the course of action to follow, it is very difficult to envision how the talks could lead to any significant positive outcome.
