When Israel, France, and Britain attacked Egypt in 1956. the U.S.'s bark sent the invaders scrambling their way back home. Today the U.S. barks and Israel shrugs its shoulders. So Israel will continue with settlements, building apartments in East Jerusalem etc. and the U.S. will make a lot of barking sounds but signal to Israel sub rosa: "Whatever you do is O,K, with us." Perhaps yesterdays UNGA vote may help the U.S. find its old way of barking.
