The writer bemoans the break away form democracy, but then concludes that it is is a great opportunity to serve his own ideology (by use of the dictatorial loophole) This is Orwellian thinking, and how all dictators justify their (illegal ) means. The problem with Sharon and Barak, and also Peres, and Beillin, was that they were all dictators, and thought they could deliver what is best for the nation. The only reason I trust Bibi a little more than his predecessors, is that he had an opportunity in 2001 to become PM, but refused, because he saw the situation as being a farce of democracy (Barak's call non parliamentary elections).
