1) The confession is weak. He was controlled by interrogators 24/7 for a long time while hidden by a gag order. A confession is a forgone conclusion. 2) So is he actually guilty? It's possible, but there are plenty of countries with ultra sophisticated weapons labs. Why would Hamas, wanting to improve a weapon, not go to a sympathetic country with vast resources, and instead ask a local to do some calculations on the back of a napkin? He used "mathematical equations, which improve the ability of the iron rods to withstand pressure and heat" ? Oh really? That just sounds cooked up.
