    1) Yachimovich is working hard to portray herself as a realistic leader of an alternative to the current center right leadership in Israel. Even though I don't support her politics, the people do deserve a choice without, as she puts it, "hocus-pocus". "If you will it, it is no dream" is not a political program that the electorate will buy today and that's why the Israeli left has slipped into irrelevancy. 2) The issue of Israeli policy towards the territories has become the single definition of "left-right" in Israeli politics to the extent that economic and social policy (what defines left and right in the rest of the world) needs an entirely different language.
