    1. George Bush and John Bolton were the 'designated hitters' for Israel in the wording of the mandate for UN forces in Res 1701. Israel got the wording it wanted. The resolution wasn't finalized until after it was checked with Olmert. If Israel wanted 150,000 more UN blue-hats, it should have offered to pay for them. 2. The borders of Lebanon and Syria are no more porous than US-Canada borders or US-Mexico borders. The US doesn't have a clue as to the real extent of what is coming across. We know lots of people come across, and guns and drugs, but as to what else, nobody knows.
