I completely agree that every effort should be made to integrate everyone into society and close the institutions, some of which are just appalling. Perhaps they can start with improving the working conditions of the social workers and decrease their work load. But then living in a country where the port and electricity workers earn more than judges and members of government, means that little is left for the weakest members of our society. However let's not forget that the opening comment: "Living separately is one of the hallmarks of Israeli society" is true for most countries in the west and not only Israel. Do the rich and poor in Britain mingle? NO they don't!
