I am glad to see the evacuation started, but this move would be futile if this process is not extended to the West Bank. I am also shocked at the way the settlers are treated by the IDF. The patience and care with which they deal with them, which I prais, is in stark contrast with violence and disregard shown towards palestinians when such situations arise. From the outside, this is yet another demonstration of the double standard that Israel shows when dealing with violence. Velvet glove towards Jewish people, even when they are terrorists, iron fists towards palestinians, even when dealing with innocent people. Time to finish the occupation, and move on fast for a final settlement with the Palestinians. Otherwise this will just be a media show to keep the occupied territories elsewhere.
