    I think the fact that there has been few talkbacks posted since this article was published does prove that the Israeli public and the government have become apathetic in the face of human rights violations. Israel has the moral responsibility to protect refugees fleeing for their lives and it is the crooked government which allows its 'diplomatic' neighbour, Egypt, to ruthlessly kill so-called "intruders" (never mind what happens to refugees when they are in Israel - they usually face indisriminatory imprisonment as a reward for trying to save their own, and their families' lives).
