These are not peacekeepers, they are observers. By their mandate they are there for observing and reporting. They do not have guns /weapons nor do they have any possibility to interfere in anything that goes on. UN has observers, peacekeepers and peacemakers. These forces have different mandate in regards to use of deadly force. Journalists that are covering these events need to educate themselves a little more in regards to what they write about. Sloppy work - period.
