As an Austrian I say that the decision to withdraw our soldiers from Golan was totally right. What to wait for? That the first soldiers are being sent home to Vienna in a cofin? The UN-mandat lasways was to observe and not to fight. It is an UN-peace-mission and not a fight-mission but there is no peace any more on the Golan so Austria is doing well in withdrawing her soldiers. Israel should be more thankful that Austria has done this job for almost 40 years. Israel killed in the year 2006 an Austrian officer in the Libanon who was sitting in an UN-bunker with a 500 kilo-bomb on purpose. Israel was never held responsible for this crime. We never ever want such a thing to happen again.
