History will not end after the Golan, and WB, are surrendered. You may disagree on this, but I truly believe that without dealing with the TYPE of society that would exist within the traded areas, whatever short-term peace would follow such a handoff would itself be followed by further attempts by the Arab extremists to eliminate the remaining sliver of Israel. This could only be prevented by requiring the PA to eliminate its anti-Israel charter language, and to REALLY guarantee the rights of West Bank Jews & Christians in the new Palestine, in order for the deal to proceed; and similar guarantees from Syria (perhaps even dual citizenship for residents of the Golan who so desire, and the Golan become a demilitarized, free zone). Besides, what if the residents of Majd Al Shams voted to remain in Israel? Would you respect their right to self-determination in that regard?
