'A family is a father, mother and children, and not two fathers and a child,' said Avi Wurtzman during his previous Knesset stint. While doing nothing to advance socioeconomic issues, he did initiate a 23 million shekel project for daily study of Torah.09:29 01.12.15 | 1 comments
Don't blame Huck too much. He really is clueless about most things. He doesn't want to deport illegal parents who have children born in the US because he says, such deportation would break up a family unit. So, I guess, his next brilliant idea will be to not send drug dealers and murderers to prisons if they are parents and have a child at home. He also said that, unlike Bush, he would respond immediately to a General's request for more troops. He said something like "If an Army General asks me for 350,000 troops I will send them to him." Obviously totally unaware that Generals have been denied troops by their civilian leaders ever since organized war began. Gen. Haig was denied troops by Lloyd George and his war cabinet after the slaughter of British troops at the Somme. There are many examples. To send troops instantly on request of one General without measuring the cost, the strategy, advice of others, etc. shows that he is lacking in common sense but not in impulsiveness.
