He was the wrong man at the wrong time in the wrong place.had he been involved in the social ministries without the sudden outbreak of the lebanon war he might have done very well and pushed the govt to more realistic postions overall.It is a shame as he devoted his life to the service of his country, unfortunatly like Lyndon Johnson his potential was brought down by a war he couldnt manage.Peretz is a good man but he must go now, we need someone like Ayalon to take the helm.He is both normal vis a vis the Palestinians and a former admiral who knows whats what and which way is north in security matters.
