"Add to that Sharon`s provocative act five years ago, his involvement in mass murders in Lebanon, Barak and Sharon`s refusal to deal with Arafat" Barak "dealt" with Arafat his entire presidency. From 1992 - 2000 the Israelies and the P.A. engaged in a coordinated implimentation of the Oslo agreements. Arafat was invited to Camp David in the summer of 2000 specifically for the purpose of negotiations with Barak. Sharon went, with the permission of and in coordination with, the Palestinian Authority's security services to the holiest spot in Judaism. He did not enter or attempt to enter a mosque. The PA knew that it was not his intent to do so. His visit was not an act of war. In Lebanon, 25+ years ago Christians militias killed a bunch of Muslims on Sharon's watch. The Israeli government declared him "Indirectly Responsible" for the tragedy, and stripped him of his government portfolios. None of this adds up to Israel being "a nation which enjoys killing".
