You have to try to define why is it important for the Palestinians to live in this area, what is it so unique about this group of people that have to define themselves in this area of land? They were never a defined group in history before, they were people with no national connection between them who happened to live in this particular area but were never organized in a national way. so why do they now a need national definition now? And what kind of national definition do they need? if it is a muslim definition then there are other Muslim countries, if it is an arab definition then there are other arab countries. since there are hardly any more true residents that lived in this area since 1948 that were dispersed and it is only now the grandchildren. One can question what is their connection to this particular land? Millions are dispersed around the globe annually and continue to thrive in different locations. Why do you think they are different? Is this whole conflict just a nostalgia for the family property that one once had…?
