As you well know, the Pals had been living under Jordanian and Egyptian occupation, they had given these people nothing, no infrastructure no political positions. It was obvious that any leader in Israel would turn to the Jordanians and Egypt to make decisions. They had just fought a war, and still saw themselves as the power in the territories. You know all this, you are a bright man. Please remember we are a nation made up of many characters, Kibbutz Guliot, alot of temperaments, different concepts of humiliation and what is honor. What brings us together is the building of a nation, which I think has gone quite well so far, and the common collective experience of racism and dhimmism. Do not be surprised when we look around us and come up empty. I am still positive regarding peace, I am still awaiting a great statesman, an Arab with "Freedom to Crawl" to admit repsonsiblity for our shared history and can come to terms with Jews inhabiting this land.
