    I suspect that we can agree on more than one thing. For instance, it saddens me greatly to realize that many Israeli policies since 1967 did more damage to the Jewish State than all of the Arab armies, combined. On the other hand, even if Israel adopted saint-like, pacifist, even submissive policies towards its Arab neighbors, her people would still be targetted for extermination, due to a wide range of religious, cultural, economic, and nationalistic/racist reasons. Even if not a single settlement was built since the Six Day War, Arabs/Islamists would turn West Bank and Gaza into South Lebanon, using Palestinians as bullet shields, launching attacks against Israeli population centers, forcing IDF response, civilain casualties, multiplying hatered against the Jewish State. Simplistic but effective chess move, but do you have a viable response? Entire Israel is viewed as a "settlement" by Arabs. Bush and Abbas can do nothing...
