To Yonaton: I agree and disagree with your comment. Assuming the unimaginable, that Israel and the so-called Palestinians come to some compromise over territory, refugees, Jerusalem, etc., and another State is created, Israel has no obligation to aid that mirage of a peaceful entity, side by side with Israel. Economic contacts, trade, exchanges, are all okay, but the Arab-Muslim worlds, with their wealth (Iraq and Iran) must be the givers., not to forget the US, EU and Arab League. I envision a PALs entity, much like Iraq now, a divisive, dysfuntional place, beseiged by conflicting interests. No economic help from US has in any way aided Iraq, remember. I agree that hitting the PALs militants hard AND their sanctuaries are correct. Also, remember, Iran is the big spoiler to any peace. It WILL NOT HONOR IT., NO MATTER Another PALs state. (Jordan is the real Palestine). This conflict is not about landk it's about Israel., which, your leaders still don't get., tragically. I am pessimistic.
