You wrote that you believe Yaakov Sullivan to be an impostor because he has a Jewish first name and an Irish last name--has it occured to you that Mr. Sullivan may be a convert, and/or a product of a mixed marriage with an Irish-American father and a Jewish mother? Many such people exist you know-one of my friends in grad school was named Patrick Leary, born to a Jewish mother and Irish Catholic father, and named Patrick after his Irish Catholic grandfather. Later this guy became anOrthodox ba'al teshuva, and lived in Israel for a time like Mr. Sullivan claims to, I believe he also obtained Israeli citizenship and served in IDF. He was 100% Jewish by any standard of halacha despite his Irish "Christian" (irony intended) name and surname (and Irisher punim). Happy St. Patrick's Day!
