We need to correct some assumptions. 1. While it is true that parts of Jordan and Lebanon have at times been parts of Biblical Israel no where did the borders ever come close to Iraq. 2. It absolutely does NOT follow that because we have a Biblical claim to Israel we have a license to destroy or dispossess anyone or any nation that is living there. No religious authority has ever claimed so and one can not extrapolate from the time of Joshua to now. While our Biblical claim may not simplistically resolve all territorial disputes, it is the only framework with which to even begin to understand the Jewish connection to the land of Israel over thousands of years and in the end it is the only claim that the world will accept.
