An example: many readers feel that Israel must be constantly alert from Syria because it wants to destroy it. The oposite view is that Syria seeks the recovery of the Golan Heights and therefore is trying to build up a deterrent or maybe even aggressive power so it has some bargaining power. I personally do not think that Israel should give back the Golan Heights without making 150% sure that its security on that front is safeguarded, but I do believe that ultimately a conquered territory needs to be returned. This is not naivite; this can work also in Israel's favor, if ever an Arab county succeeds to cut out a piece of the Land. I am critical of Israel's greed to hold to conquered territories even if they don't serve a defensive needs. Does it make anti-Israeli?
