"Your safety was with us." Good point. The Arabs (and to different degrees the Muslems in general) are tolerant of minority ethnicities and creeds amongst them, as dhimmis ("protected peoples). But they will not tolerate national aspirations of such people, especially in the heart of "dar al islam". And while you are correct to point out that Jews received refuge under Muslim rule, there where also times they were persecuted, as exemplified by Maimonides' escape from Andalusia, fearing for his life. "You negated our existence. You invented your existence." Well... the other way around is just as true, isn't it? Peace.
