Steve- I'm sorry you don't believe in people expressing their opinions. The beauty of Haaretz starting this response forum, is that people can read Israeli news and opinions and comment on it--whether it's criticism or praise for Israel and whether it's relevant to the people. I know it's relevant to Jews and Israelis about the new Pope--and I put my comment in, GET OVER IT. As for being a representative of Washington DC, don't ever accuse me as being a poor representative. You know NOTHING personally about me and my background. And last I checked, DC was a very diverse city with MANY diverse opinions. And if it wasn't, I would have left a long time ago. I have grown up in a city where people are allowed to express different thoughts--even if it includes criticism of Israel. God knows how many people criticize America, and I accept that.
