I dont understand how that can be true. You see, its not politically logical. Barak steaked his whole legacy and reputation on the peace process. It wouldnt make any sense to know that he was to come to a dead end. When you fail at something as significant as that, there is a massive backlash. Especially in Israel. The "i told you so" backlash from the centre and the right. And the left think you've gone about it wrong. Once he got to a dead end, he wouldve known that that would be the end of his premiership. And that would mean he committed political suicide. It just doesnt seem logical. But other than that, it is my sole belief that Arafat is a worthless cancerous traitor to the Pals becuase Israel could offer him everything up to Tel Aviv and he still would have a problem.
