Thank you for your very informative reply. I understand 30% of Jewish Israelis see themselves as orthodox. I do not claim to be a specialist in these matters, but didn't one of the Jewish "sacraments" say the Jews should not return to a certain territory until a certain entity (Messiah, Moschiah, or whatever the term) arrived there? If so, who do these people think this entity is or has been? Moshe Dayan? If not, has this rule been stricken or removed from the Jewish "rulebook"? Or has the rule been changed? Please help me understand what has changed in Judaism.
