Of course there were Arabs in the region of Palestine after the Jewish people were expelled from their Homeland in approx. 60AD by the Romans into the Diaspora. Arabs entered from the desertlands close by and took possession of land and houses of the Jews who were banished with permission from the Romans and lived there for a long while as Masters, even when Mark Twain visited in 1867. Twain was so disgusted and disappointed at the sight which met his eyes in 'Palestine' that he wrote about it which brought Christian European Monarchs into the land who built it up once again from dilapidation it its deserved glory.
