Your writing is balanced, mostly, and eloquent. As an israeli of course i would like him to be freed since for as number of reasons. I think the record is clear that Pollard has indeed spied and should be punished, which hae have and still do. However, there are mitigating resons why some punishment should have its limits. it is one thing spying for a friendly country and else for a hostile one. Spies always exusted and will continue to prevail. dont you assume that germans, Brits, French, japanese etc. are not spying in the US - even at this moment and Are you naive to believe that americans arent spying in those countries and, in israel - AS WE SPEAK. The oddity is that for reasons i am not privy to he continues his jail term because some top dogs in the USA admininstartion are of the impression that this case is diffent than others and because tiny israel is indeed dependent on UISA support, true, therfore a differnt set of conduct and rulles should apply.
