My friend: after WW2, a national home for the Jewish people was established in Palestine, PROVIDED THAT "the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities" there would not be prejudiced. In other words, the 1,300,000 Muslims & Christians already living there, would not be persecuted. Zionists were only 650,000. So what happened? This Muslim-Christian majority was ethnically cleansed..driven out and MANY, MANY were massacred. Those Arabs that escaped the ethnic cleansing in 1948 & 67 are what are now called "Israeli Arabs": they are proof that Arabs lived there and a thorn in the side of the state of Israel that seeks a JEWISH state. So they are second class citizens, barely tolerated by the state. Compare this to Apartheid South Africa- IDENTICAL. They stole Palestinian land and drove the natives out until 55% of the land mass became 100%. The West Bank & Gaza is now ILLEGALLY occupied by Israel who continues to steal land in the West bank by buildng illegal settlements

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
