The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
Thanks for your reaction. You write: ‘American Jews did what they could all along…You mention the meeting between Ben Gurion and Rudolf Sonneborn in July 1945 etc. July 1945 was already too late. The Holocaust was a fact. Between 30th January 1933 and 1st September 1939 was enough time to do something concrete. I’m afraid, nobody wanted to regard the matter seriously. Certainly Ben Gurion did not ask the American Jews to keep their money and not use their influence. You write further, Israel is now a fact and no longer threatened with extermination. This is partial truth. The country is slowly falling apart. Due to heavy corruption it’s strength is doubtful. Israel is not a (west) European country and scores poorly on nearly everything: from the PISA examination up to governmental transparency and OECD standards. The aid of American Jews has to be focused on poverty and education. Money to the government means dead money.
