You have a great deal of knowledge on the subject - so tell me how far off I am - if I feel that the populace was driven to Hamas because of the corruption and inefficiency of Fatah. Plus, Hamas had a proven record for providing social services in an orderly manner. Fatah was just as ineffectual under Arafat but he was a revered figurehead. When power was transfered to Abbas then it didn't seem disrepectful to make the change in support. Also - as far as Bush and Olmert being unintentionally helpful to Hamas.........? The people may feel stronger support for Hamas because of their detractors - but how well could they possibly fare if Israel begins shelling? Honest question - what's your opinion, please?
