I think you are the one who doesn't get it. There is no longer an "Israeli occupation" in Lebanon. There is an international blue line border with Israel on one side and an overdue militia - Hezbollah - on the other side. What is going on now? Hezbollah, yet again, has initiated a military attack across an international boundary, killed some Israelis, and kidnapped others (even not from the 'disputed' Sheba farms). Israel is responding to this attack, and while Hezbollah may rain Katyushas on Israel, Israel will not end this operation until Hezbollah's wings are clipped.
