Furthermore, you are guilty of positing a false causality - ie that Iran opposes Israel because of its oppression of the Palestinians (I agree that this oppression exists). If this were truly the cause, then Iran, like the moderate Arab states, would back a two state solution which would end the occupation and give Palestinians their independance. Iran is expressly against this. The only solution Iran is in favor of is one where the Jews would return to their countries of origin and Israel would cease to exist. Ergo, Iran is ideologically opposed to Israel's very existence regardless of what happens to the Palestinians.
